Part-time roles; all duties apply
Terms of Employment:
Open for discussion and flexible 
8 hours a day, 3 days per week
8 hours a day, 2 days per week  
Vacancies will both include weekends and Bank holidays 

Duties will include:
  • Day to day care of rescue dogs in our care.
  • General husbandry of the animals (cleaning of kennels, feeding, exercising, administration of veterinary prescribed medicine, general health care, bathing and grooming of the dogs). Undertaking and adhering to, the established kennel routines and procedures.
  • Interaction with members of the general public.
  • Re-homing of the dogs requires good communication skills to ensure all parties are fully informed..
  • Some lifting will be required and the work is physical.
  • Own transport is essential. 
Abilities that would be advantageous:
  • Genuine affection for dogs and confidence in handling them.
  • Able to work well as a team as well as “common sense” initiative.
  • Good communication.
  • Comfortable with flexible work times (adequate notice of rota will be given whenever possible)  
  • Working with rescue dogs is rewarding, finding them new homes after a stay in our kennels is a great boost to the staff and volunteers alike. Other dogs may come into the rescue in a poor physical state, watching that dog blossom into a healthy, happy dog is one of our very greatest pleasures.
