Nov 6th Car Boot - 2016

Thank you to all who joined us today at our last Car Boot of the year. It was a bitter cold wind in places but still a great turn out.
Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers, who have worked so hard throughout the year at every car boot plus the fetes we have had at the kennels during 2016.
Debbie who has spent hours baking those oh so scrummy cakes, Cindy for her mouth watering butties (not forgetting Linda too who is recuperating at the moment, thinking of you Linda, love from all here) Kath and Kathryn who have spent hours preparing and finalising those wonderful jams, jellies and pickles (including Kath's dad bless him)
Elizabeth for her amazing posters and time spent getting them out all over the area advertising the car boost and fetes.
All our walkers who make sure the dogs in our care don't miss out on their time out, (sorry I can't name you all, we share little chats here and there but rarely mention names, only the dogs of course lol) and not forgetting Joan who quietly walks about barely being noticed busying herself keeping everywhere spick and span and then there's Larry on the car park making sure everyone can get in and out safely, we can't thank you enough for giving your free time, kindness and support, you all do make such a difference to this rescue, even to the point where a member staff had a visit from her son who was about to start a week end on leave, even he joined in spending time with the dogs, lugging heavy items here and there for us, it was so natural you would have thought he'd been here every day, thank you Chris, it was lovely to meet you if only for a short time (enjoy your week end)
We have an amazing group of volunteers who help in every area connected to this charity, the shops, silently in the background, at events away from home, Stephen cutting the hedges, Ron tending the fields, there are so many in this extended family of FDR and we thank you all, you are so valued by us all.
Things will start to fall quiet now (event wise) for the next few months but hopefully we will still see some of you here and there, take care everyone, thank you for all you have done and continue to do, enjoy your rest and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2017!

No where near the amount of pictures we would like to share but maybe people won't be so camera shy next year lol
Bye for now everyone! :)
