THANK YOU...

Sun 8th October
Sponsored Walk

Well what a turn out we had today at the Sponsored Walk!!!!

Thank you everyone who joined us and for giving so generously, you raised an astonishing amount.
Total raised today plus other donations given outside but on behalf of the walk is standing at just under £600!!!!

What an outstanding achievement by you all and the 3 dogs needing surgery will be well on their way to living a full life pain free.

Thank you so much and please accept Sally’s and my apologies for not getting back in time to thank some of you personally before you left.

Should anyone who couldn’t join us today but would still like to donate, you can drop any donations into the shops or the Kennels or simply contact Alison (treasurer) on 01299 266005.

Brilliant day for all, the sunshine was a bonus and we all stayed dry lol.

We sincerely hope you enjoyed the walk as much as we did and after several requests, look forward to doing it again next year, hope you can join us again.

Sun 17th September
Annual Autumn Fete.

Thank you to you all for making today such fun!
Thank you to all our volunteers who work wonders in their own right, the lovely ladies on the registration stand, Cindy, Linda, Sara, Joy and Jane serving up their wonderful tasty butties and burgers in the butty bar, Debbie and Kirsty with a grand selection of fab cakes on the cake stand, Celia and Julie raising smiles on the tombola, Caroline who came along with Linda (manager from the Ludlow shop) on their own stall, dog walkers galore and car park attendants, Stephen and Larry. Phil for supplying the constant flow of great foot tapping music, Kathryn and Kath with their jams, fudges and delights plus the launch of FDR's new recipe book "The Hairy Barkers"!
Thank you also to Jo Bird for Judging the Fun Dog Show along with Nicola by her side, never an easy task so well done there ladies.

We do try to thank everyone for their kindness and continued support towards FDR and hopefully we don't miss anyone, nothing is taken for granted and we consider this charity to be truly blessed by so many, thank you each and everyone of you.

NUSHKA
RETREIVER X, BITCH
APPROX 7 YEARS

This beautiful lady was originally rehomed back in 2015 but unfortunately the owners couldn't cope with her and she was returned to the original rescue but they did not have any space and asked us to help.

She was then rehomed in June 2016 but has been returned to us once again due to family problems. She was extremely overweight when she was returned but even after a couple of weeks of exercise and change of diet she now has a waistline :)

Nushka is the the most loving, cuddly dog we have here at the kennels - she really is like a big teddy bear. She is super clean in her kennel so she is one of the first ones out in a morning although most times she is still fast asleep in her bed. She is just like a puppy when she first goes out and prances about the place but after a few minutes she pootles around and happily goes back to her kennel to tuck into her breakfast. Nushka walks really well on the lead and is generally really laid back.

Nushka's main problem is other animals. Cats are a definite no and she can be reactive towards dogs. Unfortunatey we had made a lot of progress with this the last time and she was able to walk around with other dogs, only reacting when they came into her personal space but she has slipped back into her old ways so we are working hard to get her back on track.

Nushka is very clever, confident and happy dog and would dearly love a family to call her own once again.

Pet free home and no children under 5 years

If you think you can offer Nushka the home she so deserves, please contact the kennels on

Thank you!
