Forest Dog Rescue - Because all dogs deserve a second chance
Welcome to the official website of
Forest Dog Rescue!

We are a small, charitable dog rescue, based in Worcestershire. 100% reliant on donations, all funds are used to provide for the dogs in our care. We provide much needed care and a safe haven to unwanted, abandoned and mistreated dogs from across the Midlands. Please join us in safeguarding their future!  We hope you enjoy browsing our website, whether you're looking for a dog to join your family, or you simply want to keep up with the great stories of dogs that have been re-homed and our other charitable activities.

Urgent appeal.....

One of our lovable foster dogs, Tucker, has needed major surgery so we desperately need to do
some fundraising to help pay for his treatment to get him back up and running around. There is a
where you can read all about him. We are seeking donations of items
for an auction so if you can help please read more on his page and let us know.

Thanks from all at FDR and a special thanks from Tucker x

Dogs of
Meet Poppy!
Poppy
Boxer Cross, Bitch
Approx 11 Months
Poppy is such a loving and affectionate girl that we are surprised she is still with us!

Poppy has been with us for a couple of months now, and in that time she has really come out of her shell! She is very intelligent and is so eager to please. She learns very quickly, and is currently being trained to walk on a harness. She is very sweet, and loves cuddles!

Poppy can be a little excitable, and is very much like an overgrown puppy! She loves playing with other dogs, and preferably we would like her to go to a home where there is another dog.

Poppy needs an active home that will continue with her training, and where she will not be left for long periods of time.

If you think you can offer Poppy the home she so deserves, please contact the kennels on
01299 269 181. Thank you!

Meet Barney!
Barney
English Bull Terrier Cross, Dog
Approx 10-11 Months
Barney is an adorable boy who is being re-homed through no fault of his own. He is a typical puppy - bouncy and full of energy!

Barney is very affectionate, but is exuberant and excitable. So will need an owner who will be firm and consistent with him. He can also forget his manners, so will need to learn boundaries and some manners!

He has come on quite a bit with us, and is slowly learning his manners. He enjoys a good run around the fields with the staff, and has good recall. He loves a good game of fetch too! Although, he is quite reluctant to give the ball back!

Barney needs someone who can look past his excitement, and see what a good boy he really is, and how eager to please he is. All he needs is a little guidance.

If you think you can offer Barney the home he deserves, please contact the kennels on
01299 269 181. Thank you.
