Macs

MACS is looking for a new home due to family circumstances meaning he isn't get the time or attention he needs. On assessment the staff member said he was one of the easiest dogs she has assessed in a long time!
Macs is a friendly and loving lad who has a typical collie brain. He loves to be doing something whether that is going on adventures or playing with toys. He is good with other dogs pretty much ignoring their existence but has never lived with another dog and his owners would prefer him to be the only dog in the home if possible.
Macs can get a little anxious especially in built up areas due the traffic and hussle and bustle. He would much prefer a rural setting with fewer visitors - just a calm and peaceful environment with either an adult only home or older children. He is not cat tested.
Macs had to have surgery when he was 7 months old and can stiffen up if he has too much exercise so although he would love go on all day hikes this wouldn't be advisable. Saying that he is still up for longish walks and limited ball playing - he has been seen by a vet on a continuous basis and they have no concerns.
This gorgeous boy is still currently in his home as we have no space at the kennels so hopefully he can bag himself a new home before this happens.

Ross

Meet our handsome boy Ross who has come into us from another charity with no history, he has completed all of his assessments so it's next stop, forever home! 😀

Ross will thrive in a very active home where he can enjoy plenty of walks and activities to keep his sharp collie mind busy. He walks nicely on the lead when using a figure of 8 headcollar and very much enjoys getting out and about to explore, so a home with plenty of walks and adventures will be a must.

He does enjoy a game of ball in the playpen and will happily chase it… bringing it back, however, is still a work in progress! 😄

Ross can be cuddly and affectionate, but he’s also an independent boy who sometimes thinks there are more exciting things to do than sit still for too long. What he really needs is a home that understands collies and can give him a purpose or a job to do, where his intelligence and energy can really shine.

Ross would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He’s not one for close-up socialising and is much happier doing his own thing rather than sharing his space with other dogs.

With the right person, Ross has so much potential and will make a fantastic companion. He is learning new tricks and having a bask at agility to try to keep his mind occupied while waiting for his furever family to find him

If you think you could offer Ross the active, understanding home he deserves, please get in touch!
