Hold on to your heartstrings and please form an orderly queue for MABEL (Daisy patterned collar) & MADGE (purple striped collar) the Dachshunds!

We have been asked to help rehome two much-loved 4 year old Dachshunds whose devoted owner has made the incredibly difficult decision, in their best interests, to find them new homes. This is truly a heartbreaking situation – their owner loves them deeply but due to personal circumstances and work commitments, can no longer give them the time, training and attention they need. The owner rescued them from a less-than-ideal situation and has done her best by them ever since but has now come to the realisation they need more.

So the beautiful girls are currently making themselves at home in the kennels testing their comfy beds and squeaky toys, we did initially assess them before coming into us which they passed with flying colours just on the nervous side!

If you are interested in them then please read as we will be looking for a specific home on request of their owner and our assessment findings:

• No children under the age of 10 years, they have met younger children but not 100% comfortable around them but were fine and much better with older visiting children
• Their own securely fenced garden
• Someone around a lot and able to work on their housetraining
• Someone able to continue their confidence building
• They are able to live with other dogs but wouldn’t suit another nervous dog in the home
• Someone to give them all the love they could wish for!
• No entire male dogs as the girls haven't been spayed as yet so will go out on neutering contracts.

Both girls walk well on the lead, do like to chew (RIP stuffed toys!) & and are super affectionate & loving!
