Hugo
Please welcome Hugo to the FDR family, Hugo has come into us as a stray with no history so we have taken the time to get to know him and now it's time for him to find his forever family!
Don’t let his 8 years fool you, Hugo hasn’t read the rulebook on acting your age, he has plenty of energy and a cheeky Frenchie personality!
Hugo loves a bit of fun, especially when it comes to toys. He’ll happily chase them around the playpen, although the bringing them back part is apparently optional in Hugo’s world! His cheeky side comes out quite frequently, sometimes a slip lead turns into an exciting game of tuggy - oops.
Out and about, Hugo is a star. He walks well on the lead and regularly goes out with volunteer walkers, who all enjoy his company. He also proved himself to be an absolute gentleman on a recent vet trip—travelling beautifully and behaving impeccably for the vet throughout his visit.
Hugo is generally fine with other dogs, but he can be a bit over-the-top in his enthusiasm. He tends to come on strong and can be a little bossy, so for now, he’d likely be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention.
At the moment, Hugo is receiving treatment for an eye condition, believed to be the result of an old untreated ulcer that has caused some scarring. He’s currently on medicated drops, and once those are done he will be booked in to carry out a more thorough examination of his eye along with being castrated (Shh don't tell him the last part!).
Hugo is a lovable, lively companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart. With the right home, he’ll make a fantastic, fun-loving addition to the family.
