Meet our gorgeous Saluki boy Melvin who has come into us from another rescue after being found as a stray, thankfully his straying days are over and now it's time to start fresh in a new home!!

Melvin is a bit of a shy boy when meeting people at first but once he's worked out your not going to hurt or scare him he is your friend for life. He is coming on in confidence everyday and hopefully away from the noise of kennels he will blossom even further!

In the playpen he loves his zoomies and boy does he reach some speeds! He also loves to play with toys, especially soft toys he can throw up and around to catch occupying himself quite happily. We have found if you throw toys too clos/towards him he can be scared but if you throw them away he will bound over to retrieve them though bringing them back to you is a bit hit and miss!

Melvin is great with other dogs, even if they are a bit too  much he will ignore them or stand there patiently. We do think he could live with another dog, possibly one of his size/breed so he can have a good game of zoomies with them and also perhaps take some confidence from too.

His lead work is the only real area that might need work, he does get very excited moments getting the wind up his tail, jumping about and tries to zoom but he's quite light so not one to pull you over more so trip you over with his long legs! Once he does get going he does walk quite nicely.

Melvin is such a lovely boy hopefully we can find him an equally as lovely home soon as he's really hating kennels!
