Izzy originally came into us from the stray pound where her days were sadly numbered but all that changed when we offered her a place with us, now she has passed all of her assessments and been given the green light to find herself a forever home!!
So we will start with Izzy's one and only negative... she can be very strong on the lead, she is a big girl at nearly 40kg and she has no idea of her own strength or size without even trying, even when she leans for a sniff it's sometimes difficult to not be taken along with her! We have started working really hard with her to tackle this and she has shown improvements but she will need further work and someone physically able enough to hold on to her.
Now for all her many positives... she has a gorgeous personality and is allllll about people, she loves everyone, loves fuss, loves cuddles and also loves to sit in front of you looking lovingly into your eyes whilst you stroke her and scratch her neck.
In the playpen she does love a good zoomy and it seems her favourite toys are balls which she loves running round with.. retrieving and bringing them back not so much 🙂
Izzy loves her food so this has helped with her training... gravy bone or even better hot dog are definitely the way to her heart and concentration!
We have walked her round with other dogs and she hasn't put a paw out of place, vastly being completely disinterested often just walking away! We don't think she wants to really live with another dog, we think she would much prefer to be the main pampered princess of the house and receiver of all of the fuss (and food)!
With some training to tackle that lead work and get her up to scratch with all of her basic commands she will make someone and amazing, loyal family dog!
