Tessie is a young girl who has sadly found herself looking for a new home due to her owner’s ill health. She’s still very much a youngster with lots to learn, but she’s full of potential and ready to find an active family willing to guide her along the way.

When meeting new people, Tessie can be cautious at first and takes a minute or two to warm up — although a tasty treat certainly helps speed things along! Because of this, her new owners will need to continue working on her confidence around meeting strangers.

Tessie walks relatively well on the lead and may even show off a sit when there is a gravy bone on offer, but she would definitely benefit from attending some training classes to get her up to scratch with her basic commands and obedience - as you may have guessed already she is a big foodie so training should be easy when armed with tasty treats. She’s a bright little dog who just needs time, patience, and consistency.

One thing Tessie absolutely loves is charging around the playpen and having fun. She is going to be an active dog who enjoys adventures, woodland walks, exploring new places, and keeping busy. She is not the type to spend all day curled up on a lap or snoozing by the fire, so she’ll be happiest in a home that can provide plenty of exercise and stimulation.

Tessie seems to like other dogs and is always keen & wagging to say hello, although she likely hasn’t had much experience with them before coming into our care. Because of this, there are some dogs she’s still unsure about, and she will need continued socialisation to help her be more comfortable around dogs.

Tessie is a beautiful girl who is super loving and will make someone a gorgeous companion!
