Dylan is a gorgeous, gentle boy who has come into our care from another rescue with no history, so we don’t know much about his life before arriving with us. What we do know is that he has absolutely flown through his assessment and is now ready to find the loving forever home he deserves!

Dylan is a very friendly boy, although he can be a little shy when meeting new people. Give him a few minutes, a little patience and, ideally, a tasty treat, and he soon realises that you’re just a new friend he hasn’t met yet. Once Dylan knows you, prepare yourself — you’ll have a new best friend for life! He absolutely loves being around his people and is very affectionate once he feels comfortable.

He walks well on the lead and is a young dog so we’re looking for an active home where he can enjoy plenty of walks, adventures and new experiences with his forever family.

Dylan also seems to be good with other dogs. He isn’t particularly keen on dogs who are a little too enthusiastic and want to jump all over him, so he would probably prefer a calmer, more polite canine companion. He could potentially live with another dog, providing their temperaments are a good match. Sadly, Dylan’s best friend here, Fleur, has now found her forever home, so we will have to find him a new walking buddy.

We feel Dylan would benefit from a quieter home environment, particularly while he builds his confidence and settles into his new life. He doesn’t need someone to wrap him in cotton wool — just a patient family who understands that he may need a little time to find his feet and learn that new people and situations aren't anything to worry about.

Dylan would also benefit from some training classes to help him brush up on his basic commands and obedience. Although getting him to sit at the moment is more luck than judgement, we’re sure he’ll get there with some positive training, tasty treats and a little consistency!

Above all, Dylan is a sweet, gentle and incredibly lovable boy. He may need a little time at first, but once he trusts you, he will be the most loyal dog. We really believe he is going to make an absolutely amazing companion for someone and can't wait to see him find the wonderful home he deserves.
