We honestly can't believe that Bella found herself as a stray but she did and now she has now joined our Forest Dog Rescue family, and we have made her a promise — the next home she goes to will be her forever home, where she will never have to be a stray again.

Bella has absolutely flown through all of her assessments, and we really don't have a bad word to say about her. She is a happy, affectionate little girl who seems to love everyone she meets and is ready to make friends with pretty much anyone who gives her the opportunity!

People are definitely high on Bella's list of favourite things. She greets everyone she meets here with a waggy tail, she can get so excited that she does like to jump up for attention, so she'll need to learn that four paws on the floor is the best way to get her fuss.

Bella has also been fantastic with every dog she has met here. She's very friendly and can be super enthusiastic when saying hello, happily licking their faces, paws everywhere and super keen to be friends. She may need a little help learning that not every dog appreciates quite such an enthusiastic welcome and that sometimes a polite "hello" is enough.

On the lead Bella does walk well although there is definitely room for improvement. At under 4kg, she certainly isn't going to pull your arm off but she could learn to keep the lead nice and loose and walk a little more to heel.

When she's in the playpen Bella is pretty much glued to you, she's not fussed about going on her own to have a look around or play she would much rather know exactly what you're doing. She may have the odd chase after a toy but really she just wants to be with you and have a fuss.

Don't let her tiny size fool you though — Bella is far too wriggly to be a handbag dog! She is an active little girl who genuinely enjoys being out and about and will need a home where she can enjoy plenty of walks, adventures and opportunities to explore. She may be small, but she has plenty of energy and definitely wants to use those little legs!
