Bonnie has come into us from another charity with no history but hopefully history will re-write itself with a bright and happy future for her!
When she first came in to us the lead was scary and frankly baffling for her, so it has been a gradual process of introducing her to the lead, harness and everything good that walkies have to offer however she isn't overly convinced it's all it's hyped up to be. Hopefully in her new home she can discover adventures that awaken her love of walks!
One thing that Bonnie loves is cuddles and being as close to humans as she can, though she is shy meeting new people with gentle introductions it's not long before she is accepting fuss and once she knows you well she even stands on her hind legs excited and waiting for you to pick her up!
We have introduced Bonnie to lots of dogs since being here, she isn't overly phased or interested in them as a whole and the more over the top energetic dogs are a little overwhelming for her but she does enjoy sharing her walks with the calmer dogs she's met. Bonnie could live with another dog provided temperaments suit otherwise she would have no problem in accepting all of the cuddles for herself as an only dog.
Bonnie is a very gentle and placid girl however that isn't to say that the more her confidence grows the more lively she will get once settled in her new home but we are looking for a home to continue her socialisation, helping her overcome her shyness and one to take her to dog training classes in the hope that she can pick her basic command up as at the moment she doesn't have any.
