Brindley is ready to get out of kennels and find himself a new home after coming into us as a stray with no history, so sadly we don't know much about his life before rescue. What we do know is that Brindley is a man who knows exactly what he likes — and at the very top of that list is tennis balls!

Brindley is looking for a fairly simple home. He'd like a home where he can be the only dog, have a secure garden, enjoy his walks and, most importantly, have a human who is prepared to play ball with him until his heart's content!

His absolute favourite place to be is the playpen with a tennis ball. Once that ball appears, nothing else in the world matters. You could have a whole family of squirrels run past him and Brindley would still be there eagerly waiting for his next throw!

Brindley is quite an independent chap and isn't the type who needs to be glued to your side every second of the day. He does enjoy a fuss when the mood takes him — well when there isn't anything more interesting happening.

On walks, Brindley can be strong on the lead, so his new family will need to  be prepared to continue the work we've already started with him here. He's also not a fan of other dogs and can sometimes have a bit of a bark when he sees them while out and about. We're working on this with him, but again this will need to continue helping him learn that he doesn't need to shout at other dogs.

If you're looking for an independent, entertaining and slightly ball-mad companion who would happily spend his days retrieving tennis ball then parking his bum on the sofa, Brindley could be your perfect match.
