Floyd came into our care through the stray pound, so we know very little about his life before arriving with us. The only piece of history we have is that he previously lived with three other dogs, and from what we've seen, he's a friendly lad who enjoys the company of other dogs.
It's safe to say Floyd embraces life at full speed and certainly full of the joys of spring every single day! He's an incredibly friendly, affectionate boy who loves being around people and is always ready to make new friend's.
Floyd hasn't had much training, he is still learning the basics and training will need to be continued in his new home. He's a strong boy on the lead, can get very excited and does have a tendency to jump up, so he'll need owners who are willing to continue his training and help him channel all that excitement into good manners. He is a clever boy and loves his treats so dog training classes will certainly help him get up to speed with everything.
When Floyd gets into the playpen, it's time for the zoomies! He races around at 100mph, although he's completely unaware of where his legs are going or where you are, so that added with a lack of breaks you do need to keep an eye on where he is! Due to his boisterous nature and lack of manners we would suggest a home with older or no children so he doesn't accidentally injure or knock over small humans!
Floyd is looking for a home that can match his energy levels. He'll need an active family who can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and ongoing training to help him become more well rounded. We are also looking for a home where someone is around for much of the day, as he loves human company and we don't think he would cope being left long periods.
Floyd is a wonderful, fun-loving dog who just need the right home to help him shine and there will be no doubt he will make an excellent family dog!
