Iggy arrived with us as a stray, so unfortunately we know nothing about his previous life. What we do know is that he's now passed all of his assessments and is more than ready to find a forever family who can keep up with his zest for life!
This little lad is always on the go, he is a busy bee who loves to explore, investigate and see what's going on. If you're looking for a dog who'll spend all day snoozing on your lap, Iggy isn't your man! He'll thrive in an active home where he can enjoy plenty of walks, adventures and opportunities to use both his legs and his busy brain.
Iggy will need someone willing to put in some training as he is lacking in manners, basic obedience and lead work. On the lead he's too interested in sniffing and getting there faster as such he can pull, we have started working on this but it will need to be continued into his new home. As he's still a young pup his excitement can get the better of him as such he has a habit of jumping up to say hello. He would definitely be one to attend training classes as he is a clever cookie - he loves his food to so a gravy bone will definitely help his motivation!
When it comes to other dogs, Iggy is happy to make friends with those who are friendly in return. He has canine friends here at the kennels and is always happy to say hello, but if another dog isn't friendly to him he will return the feelings. Because of this, he'd be happiest with a well-matched, dog-friendly companion who enjoys his playful energy, or equally as an only dog where he can enjoy plenty of one-to-one time and focus on his training.
Iggy is looking for a new family who are active enough to keep up with him and once all the sniffs have been sniffed, toys played with and all the fun is over he does love a fuss and cuddle!
