Handsome Jasper is sadly is up for rehoming, if your looking for a unique dog he has to be it as he is no less than a cross of 4 breeds would you believe! He is a GSD x Sharpei x Irish Wolfhound x Lurcher!

Full details will be given to those interested in rehoming him but the reason is through absolutely no fault of his own. Unfortunately his owners ill and rapidly declining health has meant that Jasper has no other option than to find a new home 🙁 we were approached by a dog trainer to help find Jasper a happily ever after, the dog trainer has been working with the current owners for a few weeks to help with Jasper as they were struggling to cope with him, he has been doing really well but additional unforeseen news has meant that the decision to rehome Jasper has needed to be made.

At the moment Jasper is remaining with his owner in the hope we can find him a home before he has to come into kennels but we have had him up to the kennels for his assessment which he passed, albeit a bit nervous of the whole kennel environment he walked really well on the lead, happy to have a fuss, came back to us in the playpen and wasn't fussed about the other dogs.

His trainer has said that he is a good boy, he walks well on the lead with a headcollar, he has been let off in a secure field to play with other dogs and been good as gold.

We do know that Jasper has struggled with his owners deteriorating health and limited ability to provide him with adequate exercise being only a few short strolls a day as such he has shown a few behaviours with them that hasn't been present when being handled by his trainer, such as reactivity on the lead towards some dogs. His current set up isn't ideal for his needs, he would benefit a home where he can get plenty of exercise, lots of walks, adventures and off lead zoomies!! 😀

We have been told that he is calm and quiet in the house, housetrained, is fine to be left for a couple of hours, loves toys (tug toys and footballs being the fave!), travels well, does know his basic commands and is learning more all the time and has been ok with visiting grandchildren but he doesn't like fireworks - bless him.

We will be looking for an active home, one without young children as he simply isn't used to them being around, one who can continue his training and give him everything he needs to start fresh! 😀

Jasper is a lovely boy who just needs to find a more suitable and most importantly forever home!
