Out on walks, Marshall likes to get on with the job in hand and walks with plenty of purpose. He can be strong on the lead at times, but we’ve already started working with him and he is making good progress. He’s not the sort of dog who’ll want to conquer Snowdon every weekend, but equally he’ll need more than a quick stroll around the block to keep him happy. A home that enjoys regular walks and exploring would suit him perfectly.
Marshall isn’t currently a fan of other dogs, although the kennel environment certainly doesn’t help this. Because of this, he is looking for a dog-free home with a family who are willing to continue helping him build more positive associations with dogs out and about on walks.
Despite his purposeful nature outdoors, Marshall has a much calmer side too. In the playpen he prefers a gentle mooch and a good sniff around rather than tearing about like a headless chicken, although if you’re lucky you may occasionally see him break into a little trot. He can come across as quite aloof when out exploring, as he often has more important things on his agenda, but once he’s in the mood for affection he absolutely loves a fuss, a nice ear rub, and a good bum scratch.
Marshall is a lovely boy with lots of character who is looking for a patient new family willing to let him settle at his own pace and enjoy life.
