Our big handsome cuddly boy Nolan has now finished with his assessments and he's definitely ready is to get his paws into a new home and say goodbye to kennels for good!
Nolan has come into us from another rescue with no history but he has swiftly got settled here and shown us all how cuddly he is, sometimes he is too cuddly as he does jump up for human hugs so he will need to be taught that fuss can also be received with all four paws on the floor!
On the lead he has made improvements from when he first came into us, he isn't one to pull your arm off but he will need a bit of guidance to get that lead looser. He is also very much lacking in the way of basic commands and manners, he can and will sit but it's certainly more luck than judgement so we do think training classes would be beneficial for him to work on everything and engage that clever brain of his!
in the playpen he does like a good zoom about, good sniff then stroll back for (you guessed it) more cuddles! At the moment he doesn't see what the fuss is about toys but we are trying to show him how much fun they are.. this task may well have to be continued by his new hoomans to get him ready for a game of tug or ball.
We have introduced him to dogs since being here and he has been good as gold, he can be a bit overwhelmed if there are several dogs at one time but on a 1-2-1 he had greeted them very pleasantly gave them kisses on their ears and gone about his day. He could potentially live with another dog but we do think he would much prefer to be an only dog in the home so he doesn't have to share his family, food or fuss.
Overall he is SUCH a lovely, friendly, adorable and happy boy with the right home and a bit of training we have no doubt he will make a wonderful family pet!
