Dog Free Home Needed
No Cats
No Children
Secure Garden Needed
Vaccinated & Neutered
Reggie was originally rehomed from us back in 2019 however was returned to us at the end of 2025, to say Reggie struggled with the abrupt move to kennels is an understatement, bless him but hopefully he won't be here too long and he can forget his kennel stay ever happened when he finds his forever home!
We initially helped rehomed Reggie in lockdown where his elderly owner was unable to give him all the exercise and everything he needed. Reggie has been in the same home since 2019 but as he was struggling with the new baby, who is now crawling so he has come back to us to find a new home. It's taken a fair few weeks for Reggie to settle though he is still quite bewildered 🙁
We will start off with the positives in that Reggie is a beautiful natured, sweet and gentle boy who is exceptionally cuddly and loving with people, he is definitely the type of dog to get comfy with on the sofa after a long day and enjoy an evening watching TV together!
In the playpen he doesn't really play with toys but he will have zoomies before coming back to you for fuss! Reggie isn't likely to be a dog you could let off lead in unsecure/populated areas but if you have a good garden or a secure field to rent nearby then he will be happy as Larry!
Due to the reasons of his return and his age bless him, we will be looking for a home with no children, he doesn't need that kind of stress or worry, he just wants an easy life with a human or two to love him!
Unfortunately Reggie doesn't get on with other dogs up close, he is fine walking round fields with dogs in the distance but can, also depending on the other dog's reaction/temperament, be reactive and become stressed with dog in closer proximity. He will need a home to either work with him to be comfortable with closer interactions or not put him in a position to fail and give him every opportunity to succeed keeping him safe by avoiding, the latter is what he is accustom to in his previous home.
On the lead he is walking so much better on a Gencon head collar, he may well need an owner who is physically strong enough to hold him should he decide to pull as he is a big dog and as such can be strong but on the whole he does walk really well.
In an ideal world Reggie would love a home with as little stress as possible, nice relaxed environment, lots of fuss, plenty of walks and space and someone to love him... we are hoping we can find that or as close to it so Reggie can find his happiness again.
